ENTRY DEADLINE: April 10, 2009. All entry forms and fees are due by April 10. The exact date of birth must be given on the entry form.

ENTRY FEES: $8.00 per class. Entry fees must accompany the entry forms.

CHECK-IN:

Thursday, April 16, 2009. Substitutions or scratches must be made at check in. Out of state animals must have the proper health papers.

CHECK-OUT: Sunday, April 19 at 6:00 PM.

EXHIBITOR CAN PAY A $5.00 CLEANING FEE PER AREA. (10’ X 10’) AT TIME OF CHECK-IN.

Showmanship classes: Youth and adult Cows will show after Showmanship, then senior groups.

RULES:

No animal shall be permitted to show in Herds or Groups unless entered and shown in single classes.

1. Junior Get-of-Sire: To consist of 3 animals under 2 years of age, either sex, and get of one sire. Not more than 2 can be bulls. Sire must be named and proof shown. Only one get from each sire allowed per exhibitor and must be owned by exhibitor.

2. Calf Herd: To consist of one bull and two heifers, Junior or Senior calves, and owned by exhibitor.

3. Yearling Herd: To consist of one bull and two heifers, Junior or Senior yearlings and owned by the exhibitor.

4. Dairy Herd: To consist of 4 cows that have freshened, all to be owned by one exhibitor.

5. Best 3 Females: To consist of 3 females, any age, any breed, and owned by exhibitor. Only one entry to be made in this class per exhibitor.

6. Senior Get-of-Sire: To consist of 3 animals over 2 years of age, either sex, and get of one sire. Not more than 2 can be bulls. Sire must be named and proof shown. Only one get from each sire allowed per exhibitor, and must be owned by exhibitor.

7. Produce of Dam: The produce of one dam, to consist of 2 animals, either sex, any age. Dam must be named, but need not be owned by exhibitor.

8. Dam and Daughter: To consist of 2 animals, the dam and daughter. Dam must be owned by exhibitor. Daughter must be owned and bred by exhibitor.

9. Exhibitor’s Herd: To consist of 5 animals, 3 cows in milk and 2 heifers or bulls. These animals must have been shown in previous classes. Animals must be owned by exhibitor.

PASSES: PASSES:

Exhibitor passes will be available at the time of check-in. The cost is $10.00, 11-up, $3.00, 6-10, 5 and under free.

CAMP SPACES: The cost is $8.50 per night. Make checks payable to Pima County Fair and send separate check with your entries. The spaces have electric and water.
