The Pima County Fair and 1210 AM La Raza proudly support the Bureau of Land Management Wild Horse and Burro Adoption, April 24 – 26, 2009 at the Pima County Fair.
The Bureau of Land Management Wild Horse and Burro Program manages, protects and controls wild horses and burros on the Nation’s public lands to ensure healthy herds and healthy rangelands. The BLM periodically gathers excess wild horses and burros and offers them to the public for adoption when the herd numbers increase and directly impact and negatively affect the area ecosystem, specifically water and vegetation.
