Pima County Fair Helpful Hints

The Pima County Fair wants the public to make the most of their visit.  We’ve come up with some helpful hints that we feel can be useful when planning a visit to the fair, as well as ways to save at the fair when on a tight budget.

Plan your visit to the fair: Visit Circle K for free fair programs on the day before your visit to the fair!  The Pima County Fair programs include daily highlights, hourly activities and a map to help you strategize your fun!   Also, daily highlights, show times and a map of the grounds can be downloaded at www.Pimacountyfair.com

Parking: Saturdays and Sundays often have high attendance.  There can be traffic delays both coming into the fairgrounds and going out of the fairgrounds.   Avoid peak traffic time by planning to arrive at the fair by 2:00 p.m. There are also shuttles in the parking lots to transport you to and from your car.  The parking lots have signs in the rows of parking to help you remember where you parked.  Locked out of your car?  Visit guest services for further assistance.

Carnival:  Remember that the carnival opens at 3:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and opens at 11:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.  Visit the fair early to enjoy the exhibits, animal barns and buildings.

Hate standing in line? Wednesday and Thursdays of the fair are highly attended due to the Wristband Night promotion.  If you are here to enjoy all that the fair has to offer but don’t care for carnival rides, consider attending on a Friday or Monday night to avoid the crowds.  Use your Fry’s weekday discount coupons on any weeknight but Wednesday or Thursday and spend less time in line and more time on fun!

On a budget?   Visit Fry’s March 28 – April 13 for the super savings of 10 rides for $10.00 and save over 70% on carnival ride tickets.   DON’T FORGET these coupons are good Monday – Friday only!   Kids can read books and earn free carnival rides!  Read and Ride Report forms can be downloaded at Pimacountyfair.com or by visiting any Pima Public Library.  Read and Ride forms can also be mailed upon request and kids can visit the guest services office at the fair, read a book and receive a ride coupon!.  For gigantic savings, visit the fair Tuesday, April 19th for $2.00 rides!
