Make the most out of your time at the Pima County Fair!  We’ve put together a list of insider tips for making the most of your day at the fair to include everything from admissions, to discounts, to parking to lost and found!  Be sure to download our app for more helpful hints, daily updates and contests!


From Tucson on I/10 East, exit Rita Road and follow the signs to the green lot.

From Vail on I/10 West, exit Houghton Rd and follow the signs to the blue lot.

From Rita Ranch, Southbound Houghton Rd., follow the signs to the blue lot.

From Corona de Tucson and Sahuarita, Northbound Houghton Rd., turn on Dawn Rd to the red lot.

Parking:  The parking lots have signs in the rows of parking to help you remember where you parked and are included on the map. Shuttle transportation is available in the parking lots 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on weekends.  Download the fair app when you park to pin your vehicle location!

No one likes standing in line:

Bags will be searched, so consider traveling lightlyAttendees arriving without a bag, will be sent through an express line.

Thursdays and weekends of the fair are highly attended for the Wristband Day promotions and concerts.  Upgrade your ride purchase by $20.00 to a FAST PASS on these days and get into the Fast Pass carnival ride lane for faster fun!  If you are at the fair to enjoy all that the fair has to offer but don’t care for carnival rides, consider attending on a Friday or Monday to avoid the crowds.  Avoid peak traffic time and lines by planning to arrive at the fair by 2:00 p.m.

Carnival: The midway opens 3:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and at 11:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.  Save your carnival receipts!  In the event you can’t find a family member your receipt can be used to track where the ride pass was last used. If you have your receipt and lose your ride pass, the receipt can be used to deactivate the ride pass and a new one can be issued.

Visiting the early morning 4-H, Equestrian Events and Livestock Activities?  Brekke Gate will be open at 9:00 a.m. for further assistance.

On a budget?   Visit Fry’s March 21 – April 13 for the super savings of 10 rides for $15.00 and save over 65% on carnival ride tickets.   DON’T FORGET these coupons are good Monday – Friday only!   Kids can read books and earn free carnival rides!  Visit or Guest Services for more information, some restrictions apply.  For gigantic savings, visit the fair these days:

Sunday, April 17th:  Free admission until noon with two cans of food

Monday, April 18th:  $2.00 Parking and $2.00 Admission. 

Tuesday, April 19th: for $2.00 rides, $2.00 games and $2.00 menu items, 4:00 – 6:00!
Wednesday, April 20th.  FREE ADMISSION UNTIL 5:30 with Dominos Pizza Delivery Coupon. *some restrictions apply. Plus get $2.00 food and drink menu items 4:00 – 6:00 p.m today!

Sunday, April 24th:  Free admission until noon with two cans of food

EVERY DAY:   $5.00 Mega Slice of pizza at Dominos Pizza Stands 

For Parents:  The Pima County Fair encourages parental guidance and discretion when making decisions on appropriate entertainment for your unique family. Please review the fair events, concerts, attractions and other activities when deciding which days and times are best for your unique family to attend the fair.

To protect your child from harmful pathogens that could cause illness or death, remember to wash your own hands and supervise your child’s handwashing after visiting any animal attractions or animal areas at the fair

The Pima County Fair offers strollers and wagons to rent during your stay.  The rental area is conveniently located next to the Pima County Fair Guest Services and can be found directly inside the Main Gate.

  • Kiddie Land Carnival is located near the main entrance with rides suites for our littlest visitors!
  • Kiddie Kingdom, located at the East end of Pima Hall built especially for our young royal visitors! Step into our kingdom and experience fairies and dragons and some imaginations stations!  Appropriate for 7 and under.
  • Pima Hall provides a Mother’s Convenience Area which includes comfortable furniture, nap space, tables and baby wipes for changing and a curtained section for privacy
  • The Interactive Science Center and Agriculture Activity Centers are located in Old Pueblo Conference and Event Center. These exhibits are designed for hands on fun for little ones under 10 years of age.
  • The Petting Zoo and Pony Rides are always a favorite and located directly across from the red animal barn

Lost Kids:  Visit Guest Services and Security, located near the Fair Main Entrance or ask anyone with a radio or golf cart for help!  Children who claim to be or appear to be lost will be taken to guest services where our child specialist will keep them safe and happy until they are reunited with their family.

Responsibility and Rides Home:  Need a ride home?  Visit Guest Services, any of our beer gardens and we will help get you to the cab line, set up outside of the fair main entrance or call VIP Taxi 520-300- 3000 and receive $5.00 off your cab ride to and from the fairgrounds.

Looking for a cheap ride to the fair with your friends? VIP Taxi is offering a flat rate of $40.00, per direction from Sir Veza’s Taco Garage at Tucson Mall and Speedway and Swan locations, or from

4th Ave and 9th St by the water fountain!  Load up a cab with you and friends and split the bill!
